They're here!!

I went out early this morning in my pink flannel gown to the carport to deliver the daily bread crumbs to my Carolina Wren. Apparently, I was too slow for her and she had already flown the coop for breakfast. Maybe they really do believe the early bird gets the worm . . .

I decided to leave the crumbs anyway so I lowered them to a place right in front of the nest. When I did, the movement of my hand caused a little birdie head to pop up with its tiny beak opened wide. We have babies!!! Or, at least, BABY.

I tried to get a couple of shots -- which is kinda difficult. But, if you look closely, you can see a couple of birdies with their mouths open. Cute, huh?
